Le groupe LION implante sa filiale en France, basée en région Rhône-Alpes, à LYON et opérant sous l’appellation LION LABORATOIRES SAS , pour répondre au programme alternatif Français, proposé aux contrevenants. LION est un des quatre fabricants retenus en France, cela dans le but d’équiper leur véhicule de système électronique interlock « éthylotest anti-démarrage » (EAD) .
Ce programme permet aux conducteurs condamnés, faisant objet d’un retrait de permis, lors d’un constat de conduite alcoolisée , d’équiper leur véhicule d’un système électronique interlock pour une période déterminée au lieu d’un retrait de permis . Cette alternative permet au contrevenant d’être toujours un membre actif et responsable de la société, tant au niveau professionnel que familial, tout en éliminant les risques de récidives de conduite alcoolisée. Depuis plusieurs années, des programmes similaires sont appliqués avec succès au Canada, aux Etats Unis et en Suède. L’objectif prioritaire est d’étendre l’application de ces programmes au reste de l’Europe. LION est fier d’être associé à cette démarche en matière de lutte contre l’alcoolisme au volant.
La direction de LION France a été confiée à Mr PATRICK PERRIER. Patrick possède l’expérience à l’international dont plusieurs années passées au Canada. Le poste de directeur général de filiale, occupé en France, dans le secteur Equipements- accessoires et composants automobiles, contribuera au développement de LION FRANCE.
Lion is in the process of setting up an office in France. The company will operate under the name Lion Laboratoires SAS and will be based in the city of Lyon. The reason for this expansion is that Lion is one of only four companies who will be supplying Breath Alcohol Ignition Interlock Devices to the French “Offender Programme”
This programme allows a convicted drink driver who is due to be sentenced to have an Interlock fitted to their vehicle for a period of time instead of a long driving ban. This allows the offender to continue to be a useful member of society, capable of supporting him/her self and any dependants, whilst at the same time not running the risk of a repeat offence. Similar programmes have been in operation in Canada, USA, and Sweden for many years and the idea is now spreading into the rest of Europe. Lion is proud to be associated with this scheme.
